Overview of the role

This hugely rewarding role is within the ‘MarTech and Data Development’ team who are responsible for identifying new opportunities to improve our business proposition and customer experience through technology and data.

Whilst part of the wider Loyalty & Customer Engagement team, the focus of the team extends across the Marketing function, incorporating physical and digital retail channels, multiple customer communication channels, and customer data capabilities in all areas of the business.

The Business Analyst will work closely with a team of Product Owners and support them with the day to day management of key projects, engaging with a range of stakeholders across IT, Digital Development, Digital Retail, Loyalty Proposition and Data Science & Engineering teams.

Key responsibilities:

Business engagement and change:
• Assists in the coordination and control of the flow of work from the business into IT and Digital
• Support business change and knowledge transfer

Represent the business and their requirements throughout the project lifecycle:
• With the support of Product owners, the BA will work with business and technical stakeholders to identify requirements and evaluate work that requires IT intervention and support
• Ensure requirements (both functional and non-functional) are sufficient for Design and Development teams and work with them through the design to clarify requirements and liaise with the business
• Ensure that requirements are traceable and complete a traceability matrix

• Work with Data Science & Engineering and the business teams to track benefits realisation

About you

• An analytical mindset and demonstrate a strong interest in technology and the use of data
• Inquisitive by nature with a passion for improving customer experiences
• Experience of working cross functionally across business and IT, ideally with some experience of agile working
• Accomplished communicator, both written and verbal, who can work with colleagues across levels and functions
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is essential. Knowledge of tool such as Jira & Confluence would be desirable as would experience of using process mapping tools
• Ability to work independently or within a team environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously
