Buying Assistant
A wonderful opportunity for someone of with an eagerness to develop and progress within buying and procurement to join our Global Sourcing team as a Buying Assistant within the EU Sourcing division in Nottingham. The role offers hybrid working.

About the opportunity
As a buying Assistant in the Boots brand Healthcare team you will be responsible for both supporting the Buyers with the smooth running of the business and developing or perfecting your own buying skills by managing your own categories and supplier base.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the team to ensure administrative processes are completed in a timely and accurate manner
  • Supporting the delivery and reporting of profit enhancement & cost savings
  • Supporting the delivery of the New Product Development (NPD) pipeline for the Boots UK business
  • Supporting with reports and supplier information
  • Managing supplier base for a selection of Healthcare categories with the support of the buyers and Buying Managers.

About you
  • An excellent Cross functional player with the ability to develop meaningful relationships
  • Ability to work under pressure and navigate multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Have an eagerness to learn and progress within a buying function
  • Numerate with thorough commercial acumen
  • Excel and data analysis skills are preferable but not essential
