The Testing and Diagnostics Team have been supporting the Covid Testing initiative through the pandemic and are continuing to evolve the customer proposition to incorporate wider testing and diagnostic propositions. We are a fast paced and dynamic team with a passion with services delivered in an accessible community pharmacy setting. The Senior Technical Manager - Testing and Diagnostics will be responsible for UKAS complicance.

About the opportunity

• Provide expert advise and review of new diagnostic solutions proposed to the business including Lab solutions, Point of Care Tests, instore propositions and on shelf products.
• Support Laboratory Director with assigned UKAS delegated duties
• Contribute constructively, decisively and consistently to the senior leadership team and play a central role in formulating strategy
• Lead, inspire, develop, coach and motivate a Quality Team to achieve and exceed Quality Standards to ensure Boots offers best in class standards for testing and diagnostic services.

About you

• Educated to degree level or above in a healthcare, scientific or pharmaceutical field essential.
• At least 7 years relevant experience including Quality, Diagnostics, Technical Evaluation or Governance
• Internal and External Senior Stakeholder Management experience Essential
• Incident Management Experience Essential
• Quality Management Systems Experience Desirable
• Line Manager Experience Desirable
• Strong Influencing Skills
