Loss Manager - Boots Opticians
12 month secondment

As the Boots Opticians Loss Manager, you will play a key role in helping to shape the Boots Opticians store workload plan for the future. It is an exciting role which works with many colleagues across different functions and levels within Boots Opticians.

About the opportunity:

This is a 12-month secondment role within the Boots Opticians Central Operations function, reporting into the Head of Operations.

• Ownership of the Opticians loss plan to deliver the agreed loss budget
• Working closely with Field & Practice Managers to lead operational & behavioural change to deliver the loss agenda
• Work collaboratively with the Opticians Finance & Boots UK Loss teams to proactively identify opportunities to further reduce Practice loss
• Create a data-led approach to loss analysis & using Practice visit insight, shape the monthly loss governance pack, loss news and internal loss communications agenda
• Conduct internal colleague investigations identified through data analysis or whistle blowing reporting

About you

• They will demonstrate strong attention to detail, have excellent organisation & planning skills and be an effective verbal & written co-ordinator
• Analytical thinking and skill set to review various data sources, to identify trends and improvement next steps
• Integrity and discretion due to the sensitivity of data and potential outcomes of loss investigations
• The jobholder will have recent and up to date opticians practice experience. With an understanding of Boots Opticians OPS & SAP system to support investigations/loss reduction opportunities
• Understanding of Boots HR & Boots Opticians Operational processes that need to be applied to investigations and other loss related opportunities
