As a Business Planning Specialist you will play a key role in helping to shape the Boots Opticians store workload plan for the future. It is an exciting role which work with many colleagues across different functions and levels within Boots Opticians.

About the opportunity:

This is a 12 month secondment role within the Boots Opticians Central Operations function, reporting into the Business Planning Manager.

• Support the activity planning framework by preparing for and leading activity review and planning sessions, whilst, maintaining and updating the High Level Plan, Flightpath and Colleague Dashboard, ensuring adherence to the activity planning process
• Working closely with stakeholders to ensure all activity is captured in a timely and accurate manner and communicating relevant updates to stakeholders to manage queries/actions when necessary
• To be customer and colleague focused, calling out workload clashes or concerns
• To produce the four-weekly What’s In Store Pack and publish it on time for owned and franchise Boots Opticians stores.
• Support with other related projects to help understand capacity, productivity etc
• Capture feedback and support with learnings and actions related to how activity has landed in stores.

About you

• High attention to detail
• Excellent planning skills and ability to manage own workload within agreed timescales
• Ability to develop strong cross-functional relationships
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbally
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc) – strong Excel skills
• Knowledge of the Boots Opticians ways of working and store processes would be beneficial
