Portfolio Manager (Technology Services), full-time contract based in Nottingham with flexible home working.
We are looking for an enthusiastic portfolio manager to assure delivery of the Technology Services Portfolio focusing on medium to high complexity deliverables to support a hybrid delivery team. You will ensure the portfolio adheres to correct governance, and have visibility and transparency of all projects. You will produce management reports, resource and capacity planning across portfolios, and develop and streamline new and existing processes to facilitate the smooth running of the Portfolio.
The role involves leading a small team and working largely on their own initiative within the framework agreed with the Senior Manager.

About the opportunity

Key responsibilities:

• Ensure all project delivery meets the broader WBA project governance and standards for the Technology Services Portfolio with specific focus on assurance of all project time, cost and quality adherence
• Advanced-level experience in building strong relationships with portfolio Delivery teams, shared service teams, understanding their ways of working and ensuring they are engaged in projects to drive successful delivery
• Manage the resource and capacity planning process across delivery teams
• Lead and facilitate critical alignment and planning sessions, including portfolio reviews, planning sessions and regular portfolio governance

About you

• Highly collaborative and comfortable working cross-functionally and within a matrix structure
• Technically competent with experience of portfolio governance and running a PMO function or central portfolio services to multiple delivery teams
• The ability to make decisions, lead/motivate teams and be recognised as a trusted partner whilst encouraging the adoption of a continuous improvement approach and the use of common collaborative delivery tools.
• Strong communicator, with the ability to manage and influence diverse stakeholder groups, and distil complex IT delivery into simple and relevant messages. Must be comfortable presenting in forums at all levels
