Finance Manager – Global Marketing

Exciting and very unique opportunity to work in a dynamic fast-growing beauty business and to partner with our talented senior marketing team across the globe. You can make a real difference and drive the strategy forward by using your commercial knowledge and experience and passion for business development, flexible financial modelling skills and out of the box thinking to be the finance manager partnering with our high growth new business model type teams. Ideally Nottingham based role, and this could be offered on either four days a week or five days a week.

About the opportunity

• Being part of the small but dynamic No7Beauty Company Global Marketing Finance team that are at the forefront of supporting the continued growth of our exciting portfolio of global brands.
• Direct partner to a number of senior stakeholders on the Marketing Lead Team (MLT), providing finance support focused on driving effective growth and investment into our growth teams.
• Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager and working closely with other Finance Managers and the Global Brand Commercial finance teams in UK, USA and Rest of World.

The role in more detail

• Finance Manager for Marketing for our new growth areas in the portfolio –partnering various senior members of the MLT (Marketing Lead Team) and their marketing teams. The projects and teams you would be supporting initially would include (but not limited to) new brand development team (currently Project Sirius), beauty innovation team, healthcare innovation team and to complement this portfolio - also partnering with our Research and Insights team.
• The focus would be being the lead finance partner for these marketing teams to financially model out potential options for new products and services and support the teams through negotiations with new suppliers/partners ultimately working as a cross functional project team to commercialise the new opportunities.
• This would include owning and preparing all formal stage-gate financial approval papers for these opportunities through the relevant Divisional or Group Approval processes.
• Finance owner of global central marketing monthly cost management for these growth projects, including three-year planning, budgeting & forecasting, and partnering with relevant local marketing finance managers and marketing teams in UK, US and Rest of World to provide consolidated financials and global marketing analytics for your projects to drive the right management decisions and strategic decisions.
• Create, prepare and analyse a number of key business reports in a timely and accurate manner for the MLT and for FP&A for your areas of responsibility, as well as reporting on ad hoc initiatives as they are implemented by the business.
• Proactively identify and implement improvements to financial processes and procedures, contributing to continuous business improvement.


About you

A qualified finance professional (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) with related finance business partnering experience and the ability to work and communicate effectively with key individuals of all levels across the business. Your key strengths would be:
• Strong commercial awareness and experience and ability to easily see and financially model “big picture” and scenarios with adaptive and flexible thinking
• Experience in producing Group level papers for approval would be advantageous
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships and influence non finance community
• Experience of cross functional project work and/or new business finance support would be advantageous
• A good knowledge of Excel essential and strong SAP skills would be advantageous
