The Copy Specialist will provide professional, legal and ethical advice, information and support to all areas of the business involved in healthcare or pharmacy activity. In addition, the candidate will work closely with other colleagues within the Chief Pharmacist’s team, as well as other key stakeholders across the wider business, to support activities that the Chief Pharmacist is accountable for.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide legal, professional and ethical support to internal colleagues to ensure all initiatives delivered by Boots are legal and comply with the regulation.
• After appropriate training, review, edit and give final approval to all consumer and colleague facing copy (including marketing campaigns, pharmacy services, leaflets, boots.com) that relates to healthcare within Boots.
• Review and approve products that do not have a product licence for the healthcare inventory.
• Lead copy strategy, identifying opportunities to continually approve processes and ways of working.
• Support and lead on other relevant activities that the Chief Pharmacist is accountable for.

A bit about you…
• Must be a registered practising pharmacist with a minimum of 3 years post-registration experience of community pharmacy (preferably some experience in Boots).
• Must be willing to undergo training on advertising regulation and copy and product approval, if not already done so.
• Should be a team player who is willing to coach and develop other team members, with excellent communication and written skills and a can-do attitude.
• Must be able to make sound and balanced judgements when advising colleagues and weigh up professional versus commercial issues.
• Is required to act with autonomy and independence in the majority of their workload, working to tight deadlines, prioritising effectively and delivering on time every time.
