Senior Insight Analyst (Beauty and Supplier Insights)

Join one of the fastest growing teams in Walgreens Boots Alliance. As part of Beauty and Supplier Insights you will be part of a high performing team who are instrumental in supporting our great brands and categories grow their business through understanding customer behaviour.

About the opportunity

Working in our insights and analytics team, you’ll be delivering strategic analytical insights and solutions, working with a wide range of stakeholders across our business to drive commercial advantage by putting the customer at the heart of the decision-making process. We work with both internal and external data including data from our 17 million Advantage Card holders providing us with unrivalled insight into our customers.
Our ideal candidates will have a mix of commercial understanding, a passion for turning insight into action and strong analysis skills.

• Act as a key partner to our commercial and marketing teams, supporting them in developing their activity, shaping the future of our business by providing customer focussed insights and wider business and market context including competitor trends and performance.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to advise on best data solutions and champion the voice of the customer.
• Provide strategic solutions to key business questions through bespoke analysis, from writing a brief right through to impactful delivery of results and recommendations.
• Proactive use of data to identify and quantify possible commercial advantage opportunities, influencing and driving the business for the best outcome.
• Identify and drive the business performance through holistic provision of insight, seamlessly integrating internal and external sources with management of risk as required.
• Act as mentor and support to other insight analysts.

About you

• Experience of analysing large sets of data and exposure to a range of analytical tools and techniques.
• Experience of extracting and manipulating large data sets through SQL, SAS or similar query tools.
• An ability to see the bigger picture: a problem-solving approach that gets to the underlying business questions, using a variety of data sources and information.
• A proven track record in managing stakeholders, influencing and driving business direction and commercial decisions.
• Experience of presenting recommendations & solutions as well as insights to stakeholders who may not be analytically-minded or data savvy and championing the voice of the customer.
• Knowledge of wider consumer and customer trends that are influencing retail landscape and associated data sources.
• Excellent communication, organisational and project management skills; ability to handle multiple tasks through managing priorities and workload.
• Excellent attention to detail with a “Right First Time” approach in order to deliver best in class outputs.
• Experience of working within a retail business environment would be an advantage.
