Senior Manager - Personalisation and Customer Data Science

About the opportunity

We’re looking for the right person to build and lead a team of analysts to develop the capabilities required to enable multiple functional areas to make customer data driven decisions, to partner with business and technical teams and achieve the global vision for mass personalisation. You’ll lead the development of recommendations based on customer behaviour that directly contribute to improved Retail and Pharmacy performance, managing complex and broad scope analytical workstreams to deliver actionable customer products. In particular you will:-

• Lead functional centre of expertise (CofE) as a specialist business partner to deliver outstanding personalisation and digital customer focussed products
• Collaborate with functional heads to develop the customer objectives, strategy and measures for personalisation and customer
• Lead and drive development of technical expertise and internal consultancy with influence for functional lead areas
• Deliver leadership and strategic direction of multi-£m personalisation capability within functional areas and related supplier funding for partner businesses
• Build effective capability within functional areas, leading the dissemination of digital insights development and self-serve
• Leads a team of subject matter experts to develop market leading personalisation and digital products across multiple divisions

About you

We are looking for someone who meets most, if not all of the following criteria

• Experience interacting at Senior Leadership and Executive team level
• A highly experienced data, personalisation/digital and insight professional with expertise in partnering with retailers and brands and at least 8 years experience
• Experience leading continual progression of personalisation and digital centre of expertise to develop the use of data sources
• Experience in campaign building or digital analytics, statistical modelling, optimisation, and machine learning algorithms
• Experience communicating high-level technical details to a non-technical audience
• Experience in test definition, engineering and analysis
• Experience in leading, recruiting and developing a team of specialist Analysts, Data Scientists and Data Engineers
