Supply Chain Lead

A new and impressive 9 month fixed term contract / secondment opportunity has arisen in our Pharmacy Supply Central Support Team (PSCST) for a Full Time Supply Lead, reporting into the Customer Facing Supply Manager you will have the opportunity to support our stores and deliver best in class service to our customers through the effective management of our Pharmacy Replenishment System ‘Columbus’.

About the opportunity

The role has lots of different responsibilities and you will be part of a team who has the passion to ensure stock is available to meet patient’s needs. Job duties include:

• Responsible for supporting the Supply Manager in the delivery of the supply strategy
• Collaboratively working with internal functions to understand Service Level disruption and improve performance to Boots pharmacy through regular interaction.
• Utilising Columbus data to identify performance trends and optimise stock holding in stores
• Work closely with our data analytics team to provide tailored replenishment solutions
• Work with our Field and Operations teams to understand performance issues in stores and support with solutions to improve stock availability and minimise stock loss.
• Support business as usual PSCST queries as part of the wider pharmacy supply team.
• Work as an effective team player, supporting the Supply Manager, coaching & motivating other team members
• Put your own stamp on the role, contributing to blue sky thinking and feeding into the Pharmacy Supply Team Roadmap.

About you

• Commercially focused, with strong communication, analytical & numerical skills
• Proactive with a positive outlook, working effectively as part of a team & on their own initiative
• Flexible & adaptable approach to work with good prioritisation skills to effectively manage own workload
• Thorough understanding of Pharmacy Supply systems & processes (Would be beneficial)
• Able to manage expectations of key stakeholders
• Excellent attention to detail & problem-solving skills.
• Sound knowledge of Microsoft excel.
• Ability to communicate at all levels both written & verbal
