Transformation Portfolio Manager (Boots Opticians), full-time contract based in Nottingham with flexible home working.

About the opportunity

At Boots Opticians we’re undertaking a huge transformation. As the portfolio manager and a key member of the strategy and change team, you will lead the transformation plan day-to-day and will create the environment and provide the structure and tools to make change happen (and stick!).

• Own the change backlog and drive the prioritisation, sequencing and resourcing of the transformation plan, aligned to our strategy and ensuring senior stakeholders are aligned
• Communicate our plan in a relevant and engaging way so that everyone in the business is clear about what we’re doing, when and why
• Lead and facilitate critical alignment and planning sessions, including portfolio reviews, planning sessions and regular portfolio governance
• Govern the transformation plan day-to-day, tracking progress versus plan and business case realisation, holding sponsors and leads to account for successful delivery
• Continually improve and embed our project management framework and toolkit for Boots Opticians and communicate it effectively to the business

About you

You will be a seasoned transformation programme manager, with demonstrable experience of leading a change portfolio in other organisations.

• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing with the ability to manage different views and build alignment
• Proactivity, keeping one step ahead and driving accountability of agreed plans and outcomes
• Highly collaborative and comfortable working cross-functionally and within a matrix structure
• Technically competent with experience of portfolio governance and running a PMO function
• Ability to communicate effectively across different levels of the organisation and to facilitate productive workshops and planning sessions
