Senior Infrastructure Hosting Manager

Nottingham or Weybridge

Under general direction of the Sr. Director, Global Cloud Engineering and Hosting, you will be responsible for the management and tracking of all activities across all hosting platforms that supports the European business. The role will be responsible for optimisation of both On-Premise and Cloud hosted services and associated lifecycle management activities and delivery of the Data Centre hosting transformation strategy.

About the opportunity

• Accountable for maintaining high performing stable infrastructure platforms across hosting platforms in support of European businesses. This include the design and lifecycle management of storage, compute and backup services which support business services.
• Contributes to the development of an IT strategy, working with internal and external customers to understand business needs and develop technical roadmaps and implementation plans
• Collaborates with division directors across the organisation and key stakeholders for the coordination and alignment of objectives and functions across multiple functional areas.
• Responsible for establishing a framework to drive cultural change for event management and develop a multi-year monitoring strategy to support the business goals. Also Integrating into the project and service transitions teams to ensure all systems are operationalized and fully monitored prior to go live.
• Engage with internal business IT customer base to understand their evolving business needs and align operational IT strategy and priorities to not only support but also to help in enhancing the business effectiveness through technology.
• Responsible for the implementation of cloud base data centre transformation programme to enable greater agility and strong cost benefit structure. Also responsible for the building of new infrastructure capabilities to make the organization for future ready.
• Responsible for developing a keen understanding of program service delivery goals and requirements, and develop and enact a vision to both meet the customer’s current needs, and for evolution of the program to meet changing customer needs

About you

• Relevant degree or IT and business/industry management experience, covering Infrastructure Compute, Storage and Back up services and lifecycle management.
• Experience managing suppliers, teams and building relationships with people at a variety of levels.
• Demonstrated ability to formulate and execute strategies to exceed operational expectations and further enhance the customer experience.
• Ability to translate strategy into system and technology solutions.
• Demonstrated experience working in large-scale environments and tweaking business processes to support growth and productivity
• Demonstrated ability to lead change, able to take calculated risk and seeks continuous improvement
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; ability to communicate with customers, associates and management; solid teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Ability to present and discuss strategies and technical information in a manner that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding
• Ability to establish solid relationships with vendors in support of initiatives;
• Solid project management skills including the ability to effectively deploy resources and manage multiple projects of various diverse scope in a cross-functional environment
• Knowledge of key technology standards around ITIL and service delivery
