We have an exciting opportunity to join our leadership team as a Senior Supply Manager working in our Retail Supply team. This role is initially an 18 month secondment. Working closely with customer and category teams, stores, external suppliers and operations teams, you will lead a team of experts who will delight our customers through delivering world class availability, ensuring our products are in the right place at the right time.

About the opportunity

• Leading, inspiring and empowering large teams to be high performing
• Coaching and developing individuals to perform to their best to deliver business and personal objectives
• Developing relationships with key stakeholders/functions and holding them to account to support their team’s priorities
• Creating partnerships with our key suppliers to drive performance and efficiencies
• Be accountable for the delivery of availability and stock KPIs within your functional team
• Leading and shaping the strategic supply direction for your area and supporting the annual business plan
• Be accountable for 1000’s products across the Boots 2400 store estate
• Influencing business decisions that impact on supply KPI’s, enabling business growth in support of sales/profit/stock/service
• Continually looking for ways to drive innovation and improve performance, challenging the status quo and driving change forward at pace
• Focused on core and promotional activity plans, the role spans both proprietary and own brand portfolios with multi layered lead times.

About you

• We are looking for someone who is passionate about retail, with the ability to inspire their teams to deliver brilliant results
• Ability to develop relationships quickly and build strong partnerships over time
• Embrace a one team mindset and work in a collaborative environment
• Proven retail experience leading teams, setting strategic direction, supporting annual plans/budgets and delivering performance
• A curiosity for customer insight, continually driving performance improvements
• Understanding of end to end Supply Chain
• Have a good commercial acumen and be comfortable working with uncertainty
• Ability to influence and challenge, taking accountability for your KPI’s
• Change management mindset, experience with continuous improvement, and ability to spot opportunities to improve process and embed new ways of working in teams
• Ability to lead and be part of cross functional programmes to support business strategic direction
