Assistant Analytics and Insight Manager – Entrepreneurial Brands

Working within the Global Insights team this is an exciting opportunity to act as an assistant analytics and insights partner to the No7 Beauty Company’s Beauty/Entrepreneurial insight teams. Working with a diverse portfolio of beauty brands and upholding the Global Insights vision ‘To be the headlights of the organisation by amplifying the voice of the consumer to deliver compelling insights that inspire action’.

About the opportunity

Working collaboratively with the Insight Managers and Insight Lead to support the Beauty/Entrepreneurial Insight team in:

• Using multiple sources of insight & data, selecting the right data or insight approach to match the business need you’ll help provide clear understanding of and direction for skincare category & brands.
• Capturing, understanding and communicating cultural, category & consumer insight: consumers behaviour, beliefs, attitudes and motivations to inspire growth of key brands in No7 Beauty Company portfolio
• Global brand annual planning, brand building and innovation pipeline processes by applying the core concepts of Insight Synthesis, Communication & Judgement to support the setting of long & short-term direction for brands
o Communicating the critical elements of consumer insight in a compelling and inspiring way, ensuring that insight is targeted at the right business partners and driving key actions & decisions. Ensuring key insights are well understood across the business & recommendations are delivered with integrity, objectivity and with the voice of the consumer at the forefront
• Act as a key partner to the No7 Beauty Company in order to understand business challenges and add value through consumer insight and analytics to drive our brand strategies and commercial decisions; specifically supporting 2 entrepreneurial brands (Botanics and Sleek, with additional support on key brands Liz Earle and Soap&Glory where needed), product, and local marketing teams, as well as supporting on broader skincare category insight initiatives
• Working with rostered agencies and senior members of the team you’ll scope, design and lead research projects as well as use in-house DIY survey tools to shape business decisions according the cross category and brand priorities

About you

• Data & Insight Analysis and Integration: you’ll have evidence of being able to select, integrate and manipulate multiple sources of insight and data in order to generate insights and tell compelling stories.
o Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint with the ability to manipulate and visualise data in a compelling way
o Exposure to external data platforms and insight solutions such as Kantar, IRi, NPD, Euromonitor, Similarweb, and Pulsar is desirable
o Ability in extracting and manipulating large data sets through SQL, R, Python or similar querying and analytical tools would be advantageous
• Primary Research: The ideal candidate will have experience of managing consumer & brand development market research projects
• Partnering & Teamwork: Good interpersonal and emerging influencing skills, you’ll be able to show how you’ve built and maintained strong relationships with business partners and are able to challenge and support appropriately to optimise delivery. Team working & multi-functional collaboration: you’ll be able to demonstrate flexibility and work collaboratively with different functions and experts
• Able to see the bigger picture: you’ll have experience of placing a business issue in a wider context of all the available data and information
• You’ll be of degree calibre ideally with 2 or more years of experience in client-side, agency and / or consultancy roles. Experience of Beauty, Personal Care, Toiletries categories an advantage.
