PIM Product Specialist – Boots UK

PIM product specialist, full-time fixed-term contract (12 months minimum) based in Nottingham with flexible home working.

About the opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated project team to design and implement a strategic business system within our Transformation programme. You will help to implement and embed the future business process and system for managing the data for all the products that are sold through our stores and website. You will represent requirements for the stores channel, in a cross functional team delivering the product vision and roadmap for an omni-channel PIM (Product Information Management) solution. This is a key enabler for our future omni-channel growth agenda.

• Your role will involve understanding the business requirements for product data, designing future-focused processes and working with system experts to ensure the PIM solution delivers against the needs of all user groups including both internal users and external suppliers.
• Your primary focus will be the data requirements that support store retail processes, but you will collaborate with digital team members to ensure the end-to-end solution meets the needs of all channels.
• You will build strong relationships with PIM user groups around the business to understand their requirements for product data and define the process and accountabilities maintaining this. You will use this to identify and resolve conflicting requirements and drive for simplicity in the solution design.
• You will work closely with IT colleagues to manage design documentation and ensure the solution is built to specification.
• You will also be responsible for a range of project implementation tasks including gathering requirements, reviewing design documents, designing and carrying out user acceptance testing (UAT), and developing and delivering end user training.

About you

• You will have 2+ years’ experience of product data (experience in retail would be advantageous)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a team to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
• Experience as a business participant in a significant IT implementation in a large organisation
• Experience of process mapping

We have a great range of benefits that go beyond salary and offer flexibility to suit you:
• Competitive salary
• Maternity / Paternity / Adoption leave pay
• Boots Pension Scheme
• Competitive holiday allowance
• Generous staff discount (Boots, Boot Opticians and Boots Hearing Care)
• £100 gift card for colleagues expecting/adopting a baby
• Access to corporate discounts, including retail, cinema, holidays etc (UK only)
• Discretionary annual bonus scheme
• Access to our Employee Assistance Programme
• Flexible benefits scheme (via salary sacrifice) including financial wellbeing support, gym membership, dental cover, life assurance, restaurant discount cards, activity passes, holiday buying and much more (exclusions may apply, eligible roles only)
• Onsite staff shop, opticians, gym, coffee shops, cafeteria, dry cleaning service and excellent travel links
*All rewards and benefits are subject to change and eligibility.
