CRM Analyst – Supplier Campaigns

The Supplier function within Personalisation and Customer Data science owns the targeting (marketing communications), results reporting and development for our supplier brands including Estee Lauder Group, L’Oreal, P&G and Unilever.

The Personalisation and Customer Data Science team at Boots uses our world-renowned Advantage Card Data to better understand our customers. Our aim is to ensure our marketing communications (email, digital, social etc) feel personal and exciting for customers, whilst driving profit for the business.

About the opportunity

The role is a blend of analytics/ data science with consultative elements. Understanding the supplier’s objectives and making robust recommendations to help secure future investment in our marketing channels are key parts of the job.

• Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to scope out campaigns, contributing to the execution and timely delivery of these
• Interpret results from campaigns, insights and other data sources into actionable recommendations for suppliers and stakeholders
• Be responsible for your key brands, ensuring on time delivery of results and contribute to the development of their marketing plan, working with other internal teams to deliver this
• Ensure recommendations for future activity are commercially focussed, and balance the need for commercial growth with customer need
• Be an expert in understanding the impact of our personalised communication activity and working with our partners to constantly improve our results

Required Skills

• Relevant previous experience or a degree with strong quantitative elements (i.e. includes statistics modules), such as Maths, Physics, Geography, Psychology.
• Aptitude for logical thinking and problem solving, experience using relational databases for example, would be an advantage
• Strong communication skills, you will be presenting complex results to less technical audiences, using data visualisation skills to make complex ideas feel easy to understand
• Ability to understand questions as analytical problems and using available data, quantitative modelling or statistical analysis techniques to develop a scalable solution
• Strong attention to detail, and have the drive to investigate potential errors
• Ability to organise and prioritise own workload, often balancing multiple projects and campaigns simultaneously
• Take a proactive approach towards your career development, always aiming for improvement and helping others to achieve their best

Desirable Qualifications: Previously successful candidates have matched one or more of the below;

• Experience with data visualisation tools such as PowerBI
• Experience of targeting, optimisation or measurement of Marketing activity, using Adobe campaign or similar
• Demonstrable record of delivering results in a commercial environment. Dealing well with ambiguity and an expert in prioritisation of needs
• Expertise in working with large structured and unstructured data sets
• Proficiency in a coding language such as SQL, R, Python etc.
