As Assistant Optimisation Manager you’ll be a key driver of the day-to-day activity and roll-out of the Optimisation strategy. You’ll focus on experimentation, innovation and personalisation alongside colleagues within Insights and UX. Your Responsibilities:

• Responsible for managing the day-to-day activity within the Optimisation squads
• Work within Optimisation squads, collaborating with colleagues in Insights and UX to form actions from data and insights, and take hypotheses all the way from inception to final test delivery
• Co-ordinate with wider teams to gain support on testing activities and generate awareness of the testing roadmap
• Support in the delivery of all tests, sourcing assets and designs and liaising with wider stakeholders
• Facilitate work within the Optimisation squads to ensure that activity is moving in line with the strategy and approach
• Ensure that activity runs on time and help in removing blockers where required
• Report on activity across all relevant workstreams, sharing learnings and always focusing on next steps
• Provide the Optimisation managers with insights and learnings from the workstreams to inform on customer issues, trends and priorities to guide the overall strategy
• Act as a key contact for escalations across Optimisation, identifying and fixing issues, resolving queries and providing advice
• Capture and support requests from wider teams and senior stakeholders for key initiatives, challenging ways of thinking, always focussing on why and proving value, and managing stakeholders throughout
• Keep abreast of ongoing commercial aims of, as well as industry tools and trends, to spot new opportunities for testing and innovation
• Be involved in and support business projects through to delivery, identifying and feeding in any Optimisation requirements or inputs
• Champion the test and learn culture, articulating and proving the benefits of data and AB testing to all areas and levels of Boots
• Support in the ownership of core Optimisation tools, including Adobe Target (for AB testing and personalisation), as well as third parties, such as social proofing

Our ideal candidate:

• Good (2+ years) experience within Optimisation and AB testing, ideally within eCommerce
• Be a self-starter, taking ownership of your own work and area
• Strong numeracy skills, ideally with experience in analysing, understanding and reporting online behaviours using web analytics platforms (ideally Google Analytics) and qualitative data sources (such as surveys, session replay and heatmapping)
• Confident in using data to challenge the status quo
• Strong knowledge of AB/MV testing tools, processes and strategies
• Data driven, with an ability to ask the right questions and think strategically
• Experience in analysing A/B test results, translating findings into stories, actionable insights and recommendations
• Confident presenter, with a passion for sharing compelling, insight-driven stories
• Exceptional stakeholder management, collaboration and communications skills that will enable you to work with multiple teams from across the business
• Eagerness to question the status quo, push boundaries and not be afraid to challenge
• Proactive, investigative mindset with an enthusiasm for experimentation and innovation
• Passionate about identifying opportunities to drive growth and finding ways to make them happen
• Able to work within a fast-paced, always changing eCommerce environment
