This is a great opportunity to become a key member of the Digital Product Team, delivering the digital product vision, strategic roadmap and development across digital channels. Working with a significant budget and a large supporting team, this high visibility role will be responsible for the development of a critical area of the Boots digital growth plans.

Two roles are available, they are initially expected to focus on one of the following areas:

• Product information management
• Marketplace capabilities

About the opportunity

• Accountable for product vision, roadmap, backlog and release programme across our digital channels e.g. web, app, stores
• Responsible for people leadership, management & development (typically 1-2 direct reports)
• Consistently delivering to challenging timelines and changing priorities and being able to support/manage your direct and virtual team through this
• Responsible for developing the best possible customer and business experiences (based on insights) through the development of new, and management of existing, features
• Responsible for preparing investment papers to support all development priorities, supported by epics to feed IT development programmes.
• Responsible for owning project financials and post investment reviews
• Responsible for defining the objectives and KPIs for delivery that the product will be validated against, responsible for the success of the performance of the product
• Consult for the wider business with product development and delivery, responsible for recommending appropriate technical solutions if required (working with IT architecture)

About you

• A data driven, digital advocate who is familiar with digital development and understands current trends in digital in omni-channel retail
• A real team player and passionate communicator who can sell a vision, assist in keeping a team focused on the overall goals, and work effectively with others to resolve challenges
• Proactive individual who is adept at building and maintaining relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
• Resilient, with the capacity to stay energised and focused within projects and to actively problem solve to ensure the best customer & business outcomes are delivered
• Familiar with agile delivery principles in a scaled agile environment (SAFe) and able to manage and prioritise a product backlog
• Competent with reporting systems like Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics and IBM Core Metrics, and able to present and use this data to identify and support future development requirements
• Understanding of technical aspects of projects, working closely with IT
