Senior HR Business Partner

This opportunity offers the chance to join one of the UK’s most established and well known retailers as we progress through a period of exciting change and transformation.

Reporting into the Head of HR for the Support Office and as a key member of the broader HR leadership team, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in helping to shape the future of the organisation. The role partners with one of our key Boots UK and ROI Executive leaders, our Chief Customer & Category Officer for Boots UK & ROI, and their leadership team (incorporating Commercial Services, Trading & Boots.com and matrix relationships with the Marketing and Insights functions) which is at the forefront of the journey of change the business is on.

This is a substantial senior business partnering role due to both the scope of the function but also due to the scale of transformational change being driven across this area, as we advance our digital capabilities; simplify our processes, leverage new technologies and implement new ways of working. A key focus will be driving cultural change and building and developing the capabilities required to continue the evolution into our Customer and Category operating model of the future.

About the opportunity

• You will build powerful and trusted relationships with business leaders and key stakeholders both in Boots UK and across WBA businesses as required, holding the function to account for performance and development whilst having a positive impact as part of the HR leadership team
• Through excellent partnering, you will influence and challenge senior leaders in the delivery of the business strategy through people
• Drive the people elements of the functional transformation plan incorporating the capability builds, change management, Org Design and Org Effectiveness required to support the evolution of the function
• Holding the function to account for the setting and delivery of a first class people plan, focussing on growing and attracting talent, embedding an impactful D, E and I agenda and driving engagement in the long term vision for the future, as examples
• With a passion for understanding the business, along with expert insights, you will drive change in order to positively influence a people focused environment thus creating a high performing culture
• Collaborate with, and hold to account, the HR Centres of Expertise to deliver the HR strategic agenda
• Through effective advice and interventions you will support and influence senior leaders on people issues
• Lead on the Customer & Category people change agenda, ensuring minimal impact on the business workflow whilst working with care and diligence throughout
• Manage, mentor and coach your business partners where you will role model best practice and ensure you use your experience to develop their career

About you

• A seasoned and highly competent Senior HR Business Partner who can demonstrate an ability to drive business improvement through a people centric model
• Strong commercial acumen and demonstrable experience in the delivery of a people plan that is held accountable to deliver a return on investment
• A natural partner, influencer and excellent communicator who can build trusted relationships across wide range of stakeholders & provide challenge and thought leadership
• Has an agile approach and is able to think strategically and translate into tangible actions
• A forward thinking and resilient individual who takes energy from ensuring they are up to date with changing trends, innovation and ideas
• Extensive HR generalist experience at this level with notable strengths in leading and executing significant
