Joining the Boots Commercial team, you will be working alongside the supplier Compliance Manager, Trading, Regulatory, Supply and Import/Export teams and our suppliers ensuring we continue to deliver the great breadth of range we have in our ROI & NI stores and online.

With the impact of Brexit and continuing EU/UK legislative divergence creating barriers, this is a dynamic, very high-profile role, where no 2 days will be the same.
About the opportunity:

Working internally and externally to understand what the optimum solutions are to get to a position of frictionless, cost minimal trade with the ROI & NI. From this to set out a roadmap, prioritising the short-term immediate needs, with the longer-term optimal goals. To engage and influence at a senior level in the business and working cross functionally to build a robust ‘Business as Usual’ process.


• To coordinate and lead cross functional team to map out a longer-term strategy that is fit for purpose, agile and adapts to this ever-changing landscape.
• With the Supplier Compliance Manager to support our suppliers through webinars, one to ones and a supplier portal.
• Represent customer & category teams in Brexit/EU divergence working groups, articulating the plan clearly and engagingly and giving regular updates against that plan.
• To support the ROI Category manager in setting up local supply/distributers of products in ROI and NI.
• To support the import/export and regulatory teams in dealing with external agencies, such as DAFM, HSE and DEFRA, bringing to life the financial and supply issues, legislation, or the interpretation and enforcement of legislation, has on our business and our customers.

About you:

• Strong leadership and programme/project management skills are essential.
• Ability to communicate clearly and engage people on often complex work, in a clear concise manner, up to senior levels in the business.
• Ability to work strategically and to facilitate a cross functional team in coming up with optimum business solutions.
• Strong influencing and problem-solving skills, with the ability to build a broad and diverse network both within and outside the business.
• Enjoy and feel comfortable with operating effectively in a very complex and constantly evolving world.
