Digital Insights Analyst

As someone driven by a sense of restless curiosity, who likes to get things done and loves influencing business decisions through insights, you will find this opportunity challenging and full of variety.

As a Digital Insights Analyst, you will be part of the Data Science and Engineering team, led by Simon Prinn (DataIQ Top 100), and work in close partnership with the Digital team. You will create business value through generating actionable insights that drive business growth.

With an expanding digital business and customer base, we need a Digital Insights Analyst to join our team to build an intelligence-led, data-informed approach throughout the business. You will play a crucial role in improving customer journeys, understanding user behaviour, and establishing how we measure success across our digital business. As a new team member you will be supported in developing an understanding of the business and data tools.

• Leverage different data sources and analytics tooling to deliver impactful insights
• As you grow into role you will identify opportunities for adding value through analysis and better exploiting available resources
• Identify and deliver clear recommendations around areas of value creation and communicate scale of opportunity to the business
• Maintain a regular drumbeat of digital performance into trading forums, using influence and insight to drive the narrative and discussion
• Keep current on industry insights and innovation
• Support the wider digital team with analytic needs, continually evolving the offering to meet their changing requirements

You will be a data evangelist, proactively encouraging data driven decision making, supported through developing dashboards that allow easy access to key data. You will also contribute to a single version of the truth and single customer view working with other analytics colleagues and data teams as required.

As you would expect, there are certain specific qualities you will need.

• You will hold a relevant degree, professional qualification and/or significant relevant experience
• Demonstratable experience working with digital data and analytics tooling to understand and interpret customer needs and business performance, translating this into impactful insights
• You will have experience with data manipulation on large data sets using SQL or similar
• You will be able to absorb complex concepts, and effectively communicate these to various stakeholders to drive action
• You will be able to plan, track and complete multiple projects simultaneously while meeting agreed deadlines

The below are nice to have however not essential:
• Experience with agile and working in a phased iterative way
• Exposure to data visualization tools Tableau or PowerBi
• Experience working in Azure
• Knowledge of working in GA360 or Google Tag Manager
• Retail experience
