Finance Manager – Supply Chain

About the opportunity

Reporting into the Senior Finance Manager Supply Chain, this role is a key member of the finance team helping to ensure the delivery of finance targets in the UK. Operating within the Finance Business Partnering pillar, this role will partner Retail Supply Chain, Dispensing Support Pharmacy (DSP) and Pharmacy Delivery and Collect (PDC) teams.
  • Provide financial support to the Retail Supply Chain, DSP and PDC teams, building strong relationships and a thorough understanding of the business and key priorities
  • Work collaboratively with Distribution leads to improve supplier performance against contracts with an annual value of 76m.
  • Projects, financial analysis and strategy support – both leading and supporting across a broad range of projects depending on business needs. Recent examples include the DSP expansion, PDC transformation, the trailer replacement strategy and contract negotiations with third part logistics providers.
  • Ensure robust cost control, providing appropriate finance challenge and decisions support
  • Budgeting and long-range planning – working with the business and FP&A to formulate and rationalise the budgets and 3YP for the function
  • Month end review – working with the Operations FP&A and Controls teams to ensure that forecasting and operating costs are accurate

About you

A qualified finance professional (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) with related finance business partnering experience and the ability to work and communicate effectively with key individuals of all levels across the business. You will need to demonstrate:
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships
  • Ability to manage competing priorities
  • Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills, attention to detail, quality in all reporting
  • Ability to influence and engage non finance community
  • A good knowledge of Excel and strong SAP skills would be advantageous
