Finance Manager - IT

Reporting to the Head of Finance – Global IT Shared Service this role is responsible for providing finance support to Global IT leaders.

This is primarily through a combination of the monthly performance review process, the twice-yearly forecasting and budgeting process – both financial and operational KPIs and being finance Business partner to IT service leads.

The role is critical to IT finance and presents high exposure to senior leaders in the organisation and drive change and influence decision making through insightful analysis. It is multi-faceted finance role with opportunity to make significant impact on IT operations and support the transformation agenda.

Provide financial support and thought leadership to the IT leadership team for significant investments
• Lead monthly management reviews with IT Service leads to analyse explain deviations from budgets and align on remedial action.
• Own and maintain Risks & Opportunities (R&O) register for IT Service Areas.
• Review project spend vs. forecast to ensure projects remain on track to deliver defined benefits within budget
• Support the Budgeting & 3YP process for IT Service Areas, working across IT Finance teams to align timetable and templates and deliver results, through to consolidation and review of the submissions.
• Support the IT Finance teams with on-going development and build of a new cost recharge methodology, tools and reporting
• Support ongoing enhancements to internal financial reporting system (PA) and drive the changes required to achieve efficiency and effective of reporting both International and global IT teams
• Lead and develop a team of up to 3 Finance analysts

About you

• CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualified with 5+Years post qualification experience
• Excellent Excel skills and proficient in Powerpoint
• Previous experience in business partnering, with a strong degree of commercial accumen
• Ability to work day to day in a challenging, fast-paced, goal-focussed organisation.
• Previous experience of managing a team required
• Ability to build strong relationships and network across the organisation and influence senior stakeholders to think differently
• Cognos and SAP experience preferred
