This is a role that comes with the responsibility within the Customer Support Centre (CSC). The GDPR Specialist is proactive in their role of data management, whether that is through monitoring data capture and storage, delivery of training current and new legislation, end to end data requests or liaising with the Data Protection Officer and Legal Team, and stakeholders across the whole business

About the opportunity

• Managing all customer complaints and queries regarding data protection, privacy and personal data. This involves liaising with the Customer Support Centre Escalations team, whilst working with stakeholders around the business to rectify the problem.
• Working closely with Boots’ Data Protection Officer and stakeholders to feedback any trends or issues that customers have raised
• Reviewing and updating all protection and compliance training for both new joins and existing team members
• Managing all boots customer data rights requests, specifically the right to access and erase their personal data. This involves communicating with the customer directly to ensure their request is processed within the legislations time frame
• Managing a team of GDPR champions, ensuring that they are aware of any process changes and legislation updates that may affect service within the CSC

About you

• A great communicator, with strong verbal and written skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to manage your own workload, working in an agile way
• Good understanding of GDPR and Data Protection Act
• Able to collaborate with others across different teams
