About the opportunity:

As an Assistant Product Manager for gift, you will be responsible for delivering the gifting collections across selected brands within our Boots Brand & Exclusives portfolio.

You’ll lead the end-to-end product development to deliver these plans, from creating compelling, consumer-led concepts and gift collections, through to delivering the finished product on shelf. You’ll react quickly to changing product trends and consumer needs, identifying opportunities that add value to the business whilst meeting customer needs better than ever before.

You’ll work closely with your colleagues in the technical, regulatory & product delivery teams and your design agency partners to bring your products to life in the most compelling way. You’ll build strong relationships with the marketing and commercial teams to showcase your ranges in all channels in the best way possible.

• You will report to one of our Gift Product Managers, supporting with the creation of category, brand and product strategies.
• You will assist in managing our design agency partners and their work on our brands from brief through evaluation to design guide sign off.
• You will build product briefs that deliver against the brand and gift strategies, as well as consumer insights.
• You’ll be responsible for identifying market and category trends and opportunities, translating macro trends into micro product details that will be reflected in the gift collections across packaging, formulation, fragrance and design.
• You will demonstrate a deep understanding of the manufacturing and production methods of the category and support the team in the understanding of our suppliers’ capabilities and assets.
• You’ll be relentlessly passionate about products and your consumers, and will lead for deeply engrained product understanding across your cross functional team
• You will take ownership of the end-to-end product development for your brands, from concept creation through to ensuring the on-time and on budget delivery and sufficiency of the product plans.

In addition to the above, the following skills would be advantageous for the role of Assistant Gifting Product Manager:

• You can show experience in end-to-end product development from concept to final product delivery with experience in delivering at pace.
• You can demonstrate experience in translating the brand product strategies and consumer strategy & insights to create the gift strategy for your respective brand.
• You’re passionate about good design and have an ability to demonstrate previous experience in this area– you can talk articulately about pack message hierarchies, wording, iconography and colour.
• You have experience in reviewing and improving product offering and portfolio to maximise value to the business.
• You have a passion for product and can demonstrate good knowledge of the Health & Beauty retail market, especially gifting.
• You have experience in interpreting trends into a full product brief and product solutions.
• You are a forward-thinking relationship builder with experience of leading virtually, across global teams.
• A driver of change – leading the way and role modelling new processes for others.
