The Health & Pharmacy Editor will be instrumental in maintaining the highest standards of quality, accuracy, balance and truthfulness of health, pharmacy and wellness content, across our digital channels. They will provide professional, legal and ethical advice. They will also support the Copy & Editorial Lead and the wider copy, content & production teams to create and deliver a wide range of copy, which is accurate, balanced, clinically safe and evidence-based.
Working at the heart of Boots’ internal agency – The B-Hive – you will have the opportunity to work with numerous stakeholders across the business, developing expertise in the end-to-end digital journey.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain the governance and high-quality of health, pharmacy and wellness content from concept to creation
• Final sign off for health and wellness editorial content
• Provide legal, professional and ethical advice to the copy and production teams in the B-Hive, as well as editorial guidance on health and wellness issues to copywriters
• Support the marketing team to ensure our communications are in line with pharmacy and advertising guidelines, whilst still being engaging
• Collaborate with colleagues around the business to develop customer-friendly content in Boots style & tone of voice for new pharmacy services
• Work collaboratively with colleagues in pharmacy, digital and marketing teams to deliver on brief

A bit about you:

• A qualified and practicing pharmacist registered with the GPhC
• Copy approval experience desirable but not essential, as training on advertising regulations and copy approval will be provided
• A team player willing to coach and develop others, with attention to detail, excellent organisation, communication and writing skills
• Able to make sound and balanced judgements when weighing up professional versus commercial issues
• Able to work independently to tight deadlines, prioritising effectively and delivering on time every time
