This post does require significant travel across the North of the UK to support our stores.

About the opportunity

Reporting to the Area Manager, this role leads the Loss agenda across the region, sharing best practice and coaching Hub, Centre of Expertise, and Store Managers to drive down loss and deliver operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Carrying out targeted store visits to gain insights and understanding to further reduce Opticians loss, for example banking discrepancies, untracked stock movements, discounts. Visits may also require support, guidance and coaching to be provided to store colleagues to share knowledge and best practices to support the reduction of loss and in turn improve best practice compliance.
  • Create clear and targeted action plans with the Cluster and Store leaders to drive improvement in their stores.
  • Carry out store level investigations requested by Boots Opticians Loss manager and communicate findings.
  • Regular travel across the geography
About you

To be successful in this position the jobholder will have recent and up to date opticians store experience and have the following capabilities:
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and engagement skills, with a critical mind set to challenge and innovate.
  • Strong attention to detail, with excellent organisation & planning skills
  • Analytical thinking and skill set to review various data sources, to identify trends and improvement next steps
  • Integrity and discretion due to the sensitivity of data and potential outcomes of loss investigations.
  • Self-motivated and able work independently and remotely
  • Ability to travel across the region and visit stores
