Overview of the role:

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the team that manages the UK’s most loved loyalty card, the Boots Advantage Card. Sitting within the Campaign Communications and Targeted Offers team in Loyalty Marketing, this role is critical in aiding customer retention and driving significant revenue and footfall into out 2500 stores.

You will be a key player in the future of the Boots Advantage Card scheme, you’ll be the strategic marketing lead for the App, responsible for delivering content and offers, owning the creative look and feel and working closely alongside the insights team to develop new ideas to drive retention and return visits to the App. As well as this, you will oversee the optimisation of the app plan to help deliver the broader marketing objective for the biggest campaigns throughout the year, including Christmas and Black Friday.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will work cross functionally with internal teams; these include Global Insights, Partnership Marketing, Trading and Plus, you’ll work alongside our agency partners at WPP to ensure app is at the heart of the strategic marketing plans. This is a high-profile role with excellent opportunities to engage with key senior stakeholders across the business.

Your Responsibilities:

• Managing and delivering several key marketing projects to improve retention, frequency, points redemption and most importantly continue to engage with the app
• Mange a direct report who will be responsible, alongside yourself for delivering app content and offers throughout the year
• Work closely with the insights team to drive further customer loyalty based on behavioural and shopping data
• Championing mass personalisation at scale across all projects
• Assist to define KPIs across all projects and then onto deliver against them
• Build strong relationships with multiple stakeholders across internal teams, creative agencies and third-party suppliers
• Be the key lead for app deliverables and work closely with the IT, product owner and development teams in order to drive and land initiatives without impacting the day-to-day activities
• You will be flexible in your approach and workload and be able to manage competing priorities & tasks and manage stakeholders in their requests and escalate effectively in a timely manner where required.

Our Ideal Candidate:

The successful individual will have experience in marketing, and ideally experience in Loyalty:

• You will possess strong marketing and communication skills and have an analytical mind-set
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy is essential along with solid project management skills to manage initiatives successfully through to completion
• You must have a strategic and commercial mind-set, and be confident interrogating data
• Is a self-starter and be able to pull on the resources around you to build knowledge of processes in/outside the team without impacting the day to day delivery of peak. You will be able to reach out to stakeholders in other teams and hold them to account to tight deadlines.
• Will have the tenacity and confidence to troubleshoot and push through solutions which will support our customers, the app or the delivery of a project/task.
• Will have an inquiring mind, be pragmatic, and hold a strong passion for Digital, with a customer first mentality.
• Enjoys and embraces change, and have the personal strength and confidence to ride the highs and lows of a dynamic online business.
• Is able to identify patterns and trends from data reporting, be comfortable to ask questions and challenge the numbers.
• You will need to possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, be confident to lead and work with numerous teams across the business.
• You will be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, as well as technically savvy to use multiple different systems.
• You will need strong numeracy skills, be really comfortable with managing data with the ability to analyse it, understand what it is telling us, socialising the insights with senior management.
• Work to tight deadlines, be able to cope effectively with pressure whilst initiating and responding positively to challenging ideas and pressures to meet the needs and demands of an online business. You will be required to work and make decisions at pace, challenging the status quo.
