Quality Manager - Pharmacy

The newly formed Quality Manager is required to support the laboratory director to achieve the following outcomes:

  • Lead the quality agenda for diagnostics and testing across the function to ensure continuous improvement practices are in place to evolve and improve quality standards
  • Identify and manage appropriate quality KPI for business, to cover customer complaints and feedback, external lab and partner performance and internal operations areas. Drive action plans to resolve issues identified
  • Ensure that relevant Health & Safety procedures are implemented and adhered to
  • Partner to the commercial development team and trading, informing and setting standard for new, and changes to, testing services
  • Maintains the UKAS registration and ensures Boots is inspection-ready
  • Maintains an up to date knowledge of the regulatory landscape, changes and relevance to Boots testing and diagnostic services
  • Supports the development and cascade of guidance and information to support the safe delivery of diagnostic and testing services in pharmacy
  • Coordinates monthly and more regular meetings to cover KPI review, insights and incidents, audit etc as well as monthly meetings with lab partners
  • Coordinates the CARE meetings for testing incidents where wider stakeholder involvement is necessary
  • Manages reports, evidence and documents required for testing to ensure compliance with the regulations and standards set by UKAS/GPhC
  • Review and approval of training and operational guides as well as customer facing marketing and information
  • Supports handling of complaints and incidents

Key Responsibilities
