We are currently looking to recruit a New Product Development Manager who will join our Innovation and Marketing team on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Role:

As a New Product Development Manager, you will be a key member of the team to create the right products and experiences to delight our new wellbeing consumer

Reporting into the Senior NPD Manager the role is varied as you help shape and own projects within the innovation pipeline to drive future growth. Overall, the day -to-day responsibilities and accountabilities are as follows:

Strategy & Planning:
Support the Senior NPD Manager and Marketing Director in; creating the global annual operating plan, defining the role of innovation and renovation, identifying gaps and opportunities to generate compelling insights to develop the innovation plan. Within this you will create and manage the new product development pipeline portfolio, to achieve 3-year marketing plan, growth and profit targets, inspiring a new generation to try aromatherapy associates for their daily wellbeing needs

Innovation Project Management:
You will lead your projects from ideation and concept through to launch, managing governance though the funnel and gate system.

You will understand the competitive landscape, create clear business cases that highlight how we will win and add value to the consumer they are willing to pay for. With a clear eye for detail, you will create product and artwork briefs, making sure your concept is translated into the final product and managed to deliver on time.

Continuous Learning & Problem Solving:
You will champion continuous learning, feeding in post launch evaluations and working to create an improved innovation process, you will be the go-to person on innovation and your passion will shine through. Confident in your conviction, you will own your projects, flagging issues in a timely manner, working through to solutions, with tight deadlines, but also reap the huge rewards of seeing your products in the market.

Voice of The Consumer & Execution:
You are constantly inquisitive, identifying and bringing trends to the team. You will be able to translate macro trends into clear ideas, building upon the brand positioning and the marketing jobs to be done

You will strive to hold the original insight true through the process to launch, clearly communicating the consumer and customer opportunity and point of difference to all, ensuring a smooth handover to the marketing, trade and commercial teams to ensure best in class trade and activation plans

Relationship, Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
This role involves working collaboratively across many functions and teams. You will work across multiple internal departments as well as external suppliers and third-party experts to guide and build our innovation to be the best it can be, having built your network and bought all teams on the journey

Budget Management:
Deliver on time and on budget and support the forecasting and reconciliation process for all brand spend

The Ideal Candidate:

As a New Product Development Manager, you will have an innate sense of gravitas and the consumer, you will want to drive best-in-class innovation and continually develop as a professional, you will hold the consumer at the heart of everything you do, which in turn will drive a clear route to sales.

On top of this, we would like you to demonstrate some, or all, of the following:

o 4+ years NPD experience, beauty or personal care desirable as is global exposure
o Must have experience of innovation/NPD funnel management and gate process, having launched products through whole cycle
o Demonstrable concept creation, product, packaging and artwork briefing experience
o Experience of business cases and P&L
o Strong Communicator/Influencer – experienced in influencing immediate stake holders internally and externally at same level and above with aptitude in storytelling, presentation writing and delivery and strong collaborative skills
o Skilled in project management and delivery of projects on time
o Understanding and affinity with luxury brands with a keen eye for detail
o Experienced in brand analytics and data interpretation to create compelling insights that translate into profitable products
o NPD budget/ cost control management experience·
o Agency management experience
