Communications & Engagement Manager– Fixed Term Contract/Secondment If beauty, big brands, and creative words are your thing, then this is the role for you. You’ll lead the internal communications function as part of the Global Beauty Academy, leading the team that develop and deliver the communications and engagement plan for our global beauty advisor population. You’ll build the strategy that supports colleagues across our global markets and retailers, delivering industry leading, globally relevant communication and engagement materials that put colleagues at the heart.

You’ll manage key global stakeholders, working in close partnership to identify new and innovative ways of talking to our advisors, driving strong brand advocacy and high levels of employee engagement, in equal measure.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead, motivate and develop the communications and engagement team to create industry leading, globally relevant communication and engagement materials and interventions that put colleagues at the heart and inspire the very best from our people
• Collaborate and partner with our global markets and beauty brands to develop an annual communication and engagement plan for our beauty advisor population. As two of our core brands in our biggest markets, you and the team will primarily focus on No7 and Liz Earle, in the UK & ROI.
• Own the creation and delivery of the annual communications strategy, focusing on building a plan that works across markets and retailers, delivering measurable financial results for the business
• Put digital at the heart, always innovating and evolving content so that it is current, relevant and inspiring
• Ensure all communication and engagement projects support the short, medium and long-term business priorities, are right for the audience and support the function’s three-year vision and plan
• Support the team in the creation of multi-market channels and resources
• Own the communication and engagement budget
• Responsible for stakeholder management/messaging
• Own the internal communications and PR for our team
• Evaluate and measure communication and engagement interventions to demonstrate ROI
A bit about you
• You’ll have experience of delivering in a similar role
• You’ll have experience of leading, motivating and developing an internal communications and engagement team
• You’ll have outstanding communication skills (both written and verbal), a keen eye and exceptional attention to detail
• You’ll have experience of working in a highly matrix organisation, managing stakeholders across a network of brands, retailers and markets
• You’ll be an authority on internal communication and engagement channels and approaches, and have experience of working with brands and retailers with a strong tone of voice and visual identity
• You’re able to keep a cool head and juggle multiple projects and stakeholders while meeting tight deadlines. Ambiguity doesn’t bother you, in fact you relish the new, the different and the challenging
• You’ll have experience in all major forms of communication, including events (both in person and virtual), digital channels, print and methods of two-way conversation and feedback. You’ll also be passionate about driving new channels and approaches
• You’ll have experience of commissioning, briefing and managing relationships with external agencies, designers, photographers and videographers
• You’ll have commercial acumen and a strong understanding of how to deliver commercial outcomes through the development of people
• You’re passionate about all things beauty – an interest in cosmetics or skincare is a must in this role
