This Senior Transformation Manager will be at the forefront of designing, implementing & driving the organisational change needed to ensure that Customer & Commercial continues to adapt to a changing retail environment. As customer behaviours and the retail climate in the UK continually shift, the Boots Customer & Commercial transformation agenda will be critical to our ability to remain convenient and top of mind for customers.

We are at a crucial point for our change and transformation journey and we require an individual who has a passion to drive change with a naturally inquisitive nature for wanting to challenge the status quo.

The biggest task a successful individual will face is the possibility for change across Customer & Commercial is vast but with clear priorities in the immediate future, but with a clear scope for a broader remit for change in the future.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting the creation of a best in class modern Customer and Commercial Category management structure, including supporting identification and shaping of capability requirements or needed to support the new function during the transition.
• Being the commercial sponsor for the Retail Finance Transformation and making sure that the function is aligned and clear about what the key commercial functions priorities are
• Being the Senior BUK lead for Supplier strategy and managing the Level 5 Supplier Strategy Manager, work with the Global supplier strategy lead to create excellence across the BUK supplier customer and category supplier interface
• The role will not only be required to spot the current commercial opportunities of transformation during the on-going organisational design work but also have the ability to join these up between all Customer & Category functions
• As the Customer & Commercial agenda develops, the successful individual should also be at the forefront of future thinking making recommendations and driving the agenda for future change within the Customer & Commercial function.
• This role will be the central connector & networker able to work across the functions to define and own the change agenda for the Customer and Commercial team, while also keeping others accountable for the actions specific to support the change.

A bit about you:

• A good understanding of most, if not all, ways of working, processes & intricacies across the Customer & Category function.
• Able to demonstrate past experiences of the ability to navigate complicated change programmes/projects cross functionally to create & distil this into a change agenda that people can engage, understand &, most importantly, enact
• Past experience of Senior/VP stakeholder management with a clear engagement style required to partner & hold accountable Senior Stakeholders , up to the CC&CO, across the Customer & Category business
• Experience in continuous improvement or changed management focused particularly on how we can make things simpler, more effective or easier for colleagues. This is to ensure that Customer & Category can focus spending resources to differentiate use from our competition.
• Ability to demonstrate a resilience to challenging embedded ways of working while having strong communication skills so as to be able to articulate & respond to those challenges.
