We are are looking for a Senior Finance Manager to head up our .Com part of the business. This is a business that has thrived over the past year and a half through the general public starting opt for a more digital world. We are still seeing that growth and now need a Finance Manager to capitalise on the opportunity at hand.

This position would suit talented Finance Business Partners who have extensive experience of holding the primary relationship within a non-Finance business area. The successful person will have ownership of the end to end financial position across the business area - bringing insight, challenge and influences across key business decisions and offering a wider business/market perspective. This senior commercial opportunity naturally engages with business partners across the business ensuring understanding, ownership and alignment of monthly results, financial forecasts, budgets and 3YP.

Key Responsibilities
  • Overall financial management on understanding the trends and drivers impacting on performance across your business area
  • To hold the relevant leadership team to account to deliver on their in-year financial commitments, budget and 3YP whilst maintaining strong partner relationships
  • Leadership across wider BUK finance team and performance leadership of direct reports
  • Working with the FP&A and Financial Control teams for your business area to ensure rigorous and robust financial planning processes (in year performance, budget, 3YP)
  • Financial approval of business/investment/programme decisions guiding central investment team to produce the appropriate business cases
  • Responsibility for influencing the business to ensure strong governance/adherence to our control environment including SOX
A bit about you…
  • You will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with significant relative post qualification experience, ideally within commercial retail or FMCG roles
  • Demonstrable strong leadership skills - leading and developing individuals and teams
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building and people leadership skills, in order to inspire, effect change and drive successful processes and performance
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, understanding the bigger picture whilst having good attention to detail
  • Passionate and resilient, with ability to manage change, multiple priorities and perform effectively under pressure
