Buyer – Personal Care

This is your chance to be a part of the great Buying function within the Boots support office. You’ll be part of helping us achieve our big ambitions with your fantastic organisational skills, keen eye for detail and ‘right first time’ approach. You’ll become a master of end to end processes, be curious in understanding the ‘whys’ and demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset. You will build great relationships wherever you go and consistently deliver an excellent service, both internal and external. Together with these elements you will be an in-house expert in your field, sharing your knowledge effectively.

Key Responsibilities
• It’s all about the day to day tasks that keep the business moving. Management of key information/data from suppliers, having governance over your processes – alongside great housekeeping and accurate data management.
• Supplier management of the categories you will be tasked with owning end to end, ensuring effective WOW to meet the needs of the business.
• Supporting the NPD pipeline by ensuring the supply base for your categories is as effective to deliver on the strategy.
• Negotiating costs, contract negotiation and inco terms agreed,
• Sourcing the NPD and ensuring clear and concise feedback is given, ensuring commercials are understood analysed and meet the needs of the brand/brief.
• Ensuring cost base management is supported with clear value creation ideas, as well as mitigating cost increases and creating key Lean activities in projects.
• Alongside this you will be instrumental in managing key stakeholders for our BUK and Global brands.
• Autonomy in your categories and ensuring they are managed effectively; good time management and communication skills are key.
