Location is everything to us, and having our stores in the very best locations makes a big difference to our customers, our sales and our employees. We want to make sure that we’re as affordable as we can be – it’s everything from rent, rates and service charges, and that means maximising income and space.

Part of our financial and commercial strategy your passion for detail will help us really succeed as a business. We're looking for new sources of income into our portfolio, and that’s where you come in, you’ll inspire the team with your expertise and fantastic approach to business.

What you’ll be doing day to day.

We’re looking for the best deals, at the right price in a great location, so your negotiation skills will really help us achieve this. Being commercially aware, taking in account all aspects of transactions and processes surrounding rent reviews, lease renewals, and estate management issues, overseeing all of our property transactions.

You’ll also manage our rental income and rental portfolio – which covers 160 commercial tenants plus a larger portfolio of our residential tenants. As we’re looking for great value and locations that will bring our Boots brand to potential customers, you’ll also carefully manage our budgets.

Developing great relationships with internal customers and outside professional agents - from lawyers, to land lord to retailers is priceless, can really make all the difference.

How will you do it?

Use your expertise and study the portfolios we have, working closely with our Estates team to create really great business projects, and milestones with results.

It’s all about how we can make our customers feel really good, and you’ll be part of helping us do that. So managing and monitoring our progress is important to us, as it affects our business. You’ll also seek out new opportunities across our trading portfolio, to help drive our sales and success, as part of the bigger Boots picture.

What you’ll need to have.

But it isn’t just about experience, we’re interested in seeing a bit more, the real you – and that makes us all feel good.

It would be advantageous if you're a graduate working towards, or you have recently qualified as a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, with really wonderful experience in the retail and residential property markets, and truly great analytical and numerical skills.

It would also be advantageous if you have previous experience working with franchises.
