Boots app is one of the most popular and widely used loyalty and retail apps in the UK. A rare opportunity has opened to apply for a key role in the Digital Product Team to deliver the Boots app product vision, strategic roadmap and development plan. Working with a significant budget and a large supporting team, this high visibility role will be responsible for the development of a critical channel in Boots digital growth plans.
Key Responsibilities:
• Accountable for the app product vision, roadmap, backlog and release programme
• Accountable for scoping, testing and continually improving the customer experience of the app
• Work with the wider organisation to unify roadmaps and agree development focus
• Responsible for preparing investment papers, project financials and post investment reviews
• Responsible for defining the objectives and KPIs for delivery that the product will be validated against, responsible for the success of the performance of app developments
• Consistently delivering to challenging timelines and changing priorities and being able to support/manage your team
• Responsible for people leadership, management & development
• Working cross functionally to grow the app active user base, and to develop the app as a marketing channel that can drive growth for the business

A bit about you
• Experience of developing retail apps that delight customers and deliver commercial results
• A data driven, digital advocate who is familiar with digital development and has an understanding of current trends in digital in omni-channel retail
• Passionate communicator who can sell a vision and assist in keeping a team focused on the bigger picture
• Proactive, independent and self-starting individual who is adept at building and maintaining relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
• Exceptional delivery focus, able to cut through complexity and drive progress, whilst maintaining alignment to strategy and business outcomes
• Experience working using agile methodologies in product development
• Competent with reporting systems, and able to present and use this data to identify and support future development requirements
• Understanding of technical aspects of the project, working closely with development teams

This is a highly cross functional role working with numerous business areas to create great digital experiences and the right candidate will have autonomy to generate and try out new ideas and help steer the strategy for digital within Boots.
