Assistant Supply Chain Operations Manager – Purchasing

As part of the Global Brands Purchasing team, you will be responsible for placing and tracking the purchase orders for all our products across our global wide supplier base. This role is all about driving supplier performance by working cross functionally with key stakeholders both internally and externally to support our business supply plans.

Key Responsibilities
• To create, confirm and track purchase orders placed on our suppliers for Global Brands products
• Are responsible for the delivery of KPI’s within the Purchasing team and building relationships with key stakeholders, functions and suppliers to improve and achieve these
• To understand our end-to-end supply chain and how to leverage operational parameters to reflect business priorities and achieve optimum service and stockholding for the business
• To work closely with the Global Supply Chain Planning team to understand when order commitments need to be expedited, deferred or changed and ensure such changes are implemented in a timely manner, escalating any high priority changes to our Sourcing teams
• To utilise our supply planning and purchasing systems to push forward our ways of working with our supplier base to drive vendor performance and product availability

A bit about you…
• Good understanding of Supply Chain purchasing principles with experience in a Supply or Supply chain role
• Strong analytical skills and a competent user of Excel
• Process focused with effective communication and strong numerical skills
• Ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload and deadlines
• Ability to influence and challenge, taking accountability for our KPI’s
