Boots Opticians have an opportunity within the Customer & Commercial team for a data lead. This role makes a big difference to our people, our practices and our customers by ensuring the information used in the core systems is up to date, accurate and secure. This is a key enabler for trading efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate best practice in data management - build relationships within the Opticians business (support function and practices) and across the wider business to establish processes that lead to first class data governance.
• Responsible for data accuracy and completeness, including establishment of KPI’s and data cleansing initiatives – continually challenge the quality of data within the business, measure and improve.
• Provide a first-class service to Commercial colleagues – manage the Product Lifecycle Management process and other commercial initiatives (e.g. promotions), always looking for improvements and simplifying activities.
• Incidents and queries – ensure incidents and ‘My Service’ calls are managed quickly and effectively, and error prevention measures are established to prevent re-occurrence
• Responsible for the management of the masterdata, SAP and back office retail systems. Updating and amending as necessary to support smooth running for practices, customer, orders and invoicing.

A bit about you:

• You will have the ability to understand and articulate complex system relationships and their impact on the management of the business.
• You are a highly organised person who can work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Ability to dissect complex data-related issues and perform root-cause analysis leading to continuous improvement.
• You have proficient skills in MS Office applications (especially excel and access), SAP and Practice Management Systems
• You have proven data analytics skills, and data management in complex systems
