As an Assistant Development Manager you will be responsible for ensuring 400+ end users are successfully trained to use new software and follow new processes contributing to the success of our C3 Yard project.

We are a small team of 4 (mainly experienced Yardsmart users) and are responsible for managing the switch from our current C3 Yardsmart ‘yard management’ system which is now obsolete to a new version called C3 Yard. The existing software solution has been in place across the Boots UK network since 2008. It manages all HGV movement across a highly complex, multi-site operation (Beeston and Burton). This includes movements onto and off loading bays, inbound supplier vehicles delivering to site, as well as outbound transport to CDCs.

Yardsmart is also used in the CDC network across the UK to give them visibility of incoming trailer movements. The specific objectives of this upgrade are to provide a long-term solution (c10 years) for yard management and supplier bookings for the Boots UK Beeston site, Burton and AH/DC network. There are approximately 400 end users (many of whom have been using the same system since 2008) who will need to be trained and ready to follow new processes and functionality on Day 1 of Go Live.
