Welcome to the Commercial Strategy and Planning Team, an exciting new team within Global Brands that will focus on driving net revenue management through price, promotion and pack strategies across all of our retailers and markets. This team will also play a critical role in the development of the 3YP and budget and support many global and local transformation projects including the full launch of S&OP, all of which are driving our mission of being a leading modern CPG Beauty business.

A key role supporting the development and delivery of the UK Budget and 3YP, delivering profitable growth through the development, implementation and evaluation of local price, promotion and pack strategies, improving our price competitiveness and promotional return on investment for our core CPG Brands.

Key Responsibilities:

Local Pricing:
• Support the development of a UK price strategy by retailer (pricing at brand /product format and SKU level, supported with execution guidelines and clarity on price vs. competitors)
• Provide the recommendation for new product pricing in business cases
• Support on recommended timings, strategy and delivery for price increase process
• Support the delivery of KPI tracking for Global Brands and key competitors in the UK market (price, promotions, profit, volume, market share)

Pack Price Architecture:
• Support the delivery of recommendations for the right format, pack and price for each purchase occasion and shopper mission in every channel
• Support the identification of white spaces in market segmentation that is currently under-exploited, to introduce new pack sizes
Promotional Strategy, Guidance and ROI Optimisation:
• Support the development of retailer-specific optimised promotional guidelines by channel, that deliver on brand objectives (mechanics, depth, frequency and execution standards) to drive improving return
• Support the embedding of promotional investment governance, and as part of this manage the exception sign off process
• Support promotional performance evaluation and action planning to inform future decision making and optimised return
• Support the work to ensure customer contractual compliance and execution KPIs are delivered
• Support the work to make stock prioritisation decisions linked to promotional volume management

A bit about you:

• You will be highly confident manipulating and performing analysis with large data sets from a range of different sources
• You will have experience in making data-driven business recommendations, with the ability to present your work in clear and suitable formats for different business stakeholders
• You will have an interest in finding the story behind data, and the desire to communicate your recommendations with a strong commercial narrative
• You will have an aptitude for stakeholder management and relationship building
• You will have a genuine enthusiasm for learning, with a high level of self-motivation and a desire to find the best way of doing things
• You will be results-orientated and good at managing your time, with a drive to ensure delivery on-time of consecutive or overlapping activities
• Experience of working within a commercial function or net revenue management team for a retailer would be desirable
• Strong proficiency in Excel will be particularly important to this role
