This is an exciting opportunity to join our Regulatory team. The ideal candidate will be dynamic and passionate about consumer products and delivering our Boots retail owned brand portfolio, providing our consumers with good quality, differentiated and competitive products. This role will suit those people who love to work in a fast paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
• To develop and deliver a regulatory affairs strategy for the owned brand product portfolio across medicines, medical devices, biocides, cosmetics, general merchandise and food/dietary supplements to provide competitive advantage for our retail partners in this highly regulated environment.
• The Identification and development of positions on new and emerging legislation and advising business stakeholders on best practice.
• To manage all regulatory and legislative aspects of Europe hub product portfolio ensuring regulatory and legal compliance for all new and existing consumer product assets (Medicinal Marketing Authorisations, Medical Device registrations, Cosmetic registrations, Biocide registrations, etc) and eensuring systems, resources and capabilities are available to support continuity of sale of all products.
• Maintain an effective regulatory horizon scanning process to ensure the business can maximise the benefit of new & evolving requirements.
• Own the relationships with external regulatory bodies (e.g. UK/EU – MHRA, Medical Device Notified Bodies, FSA, etc) and external regulatory trade associations (e.g. PAGB,AESGP, etc) building strong networks, influencing key legislative changes, identifying risks and opportunities and lobbying where appropriate to protect WBA brand equity.
• Provide the regulatory evaluation of new technologies / opportunities and due diligence to inform investment decisions.
• Provide regulatory support to the healthcare innovation hub and support the development and marketing of innovative healthcare products.
• The leadership of a team of experienced regulatory professionals; including the recruitment, coaching and development of the regulatory affairs team.

A bit about you…
• Have extensive experience across the regulatory landscape for consumer products to support the ROB portfolio.
• It is likely that you are a life science graduate with approx. 10 years’ experience, working in a consumer product development environment managing all regulatory affairs aspects to bring ideas to full market deployment.
• An effective leader with excellent communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills to enable effective business partnering with key stakeholders.
• Have excellent planning, organization and decision-making capabilities
• Must be able to balance multiple or changing priorities and adopt a pragmatic and enthusiastic approach to problem solving
• Demonstrated commercial acumen with proven ability to navigate complex regulatory landscapes to deliver business advantage.
• Are passionate about developing a team that balances personal & professional growth with team and business delivery.
