We are an empowered Data Analytics team working within the Retail Supply function at Boots. Join us on our journey seeking continuous improvement, consistent processes, and data driven, fact-based decision making.
The performance of our modern supply chain is reliant upon the data we can provide to support teams, the tools we can build to speed up key tasks and the analytics we can complete to drive KPIs.
Key Responsibilities
• Use data analytics to provide insights and drive KPIs
• Understand the processes of Retail Supply to enable continuous improvement
• Create reports for data visualisation with a focus on end user decision making
• Collaborate with the Systems, Data & Reporting Development team
• Proactive self-driven process improvement
• Build data sets for reporting purposes
• Develop excel based tool creation for end users
• Collaborate across Retail Supply with other Data Analysts and across the wider business with Data Scientists and various other data driven colleagues
• Train out and create training material to land projects with the end users
Your Technical Skills
You have experience or qualifications giving you technical skills in much of the following:
Required
• Advanced Excel (including index, tables, arrays, power pivot, and logical formulas)
• Visual Basics for Applications (VBA)
• Data visualisation software such as Power BI and Power BI Report Builder (Or similar)
• SQL
Preferred
• DAX
• Microsoft Power Platform
• Python
• R
• Development Collaboration Software such as Azure DevOps

About Us
We are part of a Retail Supply Chain team consisting of over a hundred people. Our data analytics team works within the Product Assortment area of Retail Supply. Product Assortment are responsible for forecasting which includes everything from new product launches, to promotions, and demand. As a data analytics team in this area we have a wealth of data, and strong expertise to empower our colleagues. We provide them with tools to simplify their job, and reports to help them monitor and improve their KPIs such as forecast accuracy. Every year our colleagues forecast for several thousand promotions, 6 figures when it comes to product level forecasts, and all this for over 2500 stores in the UK and ROI. We also launch thousands of new products and plan millions of units of demand. As a data analytics team we are a key part in making this happen.
Along side Retail Supply, the wider business is on a data democratisation journey with Retail Supply at the forefront of this as one of the largest users of data in the business.
