The Senior Data Engineer will be instrumental in helping the organisation to achieve its Agile Transformational goals. Responsible for embedding an Agile culture, methodology, tools and techniques in order to help teams keep a delivery and learning cadence that helps to remain focused on delivering value against the organisational outcomes, while remaining creative and dynamic.
Responsible for guiding teams through the implementation process, encouraging colleagues and leadership to embrace the Agile mind-set and associated methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop React/Node applications to integrate AI and ML models with business processes
• Build scalable application infrastructure within Microsoft Azure using approaches such as containerisation
• Build DevOps pipelines within Azure to deliver applications and infrastructure through CI/CD
• With a deep understanding of data science methodologies, Support Data Scientists in the development and industrialisation of AI and Machine learning products
• Design, build, deliver and analyse SQL and NoSQL databases and pipelines
• Work closely with senior stakeholders to define requirements and build agile product backlogs
• Coach and support colleagues.
A bit about you:

• MSc or PhD level degree in Data Science, Data Engineering, Software Engineering or equivalent.
• A history of delivering React/Node applications within a technical environment. Experience developing and delivering big data applications within Microsoft Azure using languages such as Python, Scala and SQL.
• Skilled in agile management methodologies
• Experience working within a large-scale retail organisation is advantageous
