This role defines and delivers effective customer-led media plans across all paid, earned and owned channels. They own the media budget for Boots UK. They are responsible for the tracking and reporting of integrated media campaigns performance.

This role contributes to the omni-media strategy for Boots UK and translates commercial and marketing objectives into media briefs. They set KPI, targets and budget across channels to deliver optimum commercial or strategic impact; they work closely with our media agency and key internal stakeholders to ensure that the integrated media plans are anchored in insight & data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contributes to the overall media strategy for Boots UK across all paid, earned and owned channels
• Owns media planning: deep understanding on how commercial and marketing objectives can be delivered through integrated media campaigns. Works in collaboration with commercial teams to agree priorities.
• Drives the mass personalisation agenda for media, particularly the optimum usage of first party data across media channels
• Ensures that media plans are anchored in consumer insight and data, campaign analytics and aligned to customer journeys
• Owns the tracking and reporting of media performance; ensures goals and KPI are in place and shared with relevant teams
• Owns the day to day relationship and management of the media agency
• Utilises martech to support the delivery of effective campaigns; works closely with data science and AI teams to drive mass personalisation across channels.
• Drives meaningful innovation; identifies new, innovative ways of reaching customers. Understands how martech can support the delivery of effective campaigns.
• Works closely with the creative and content teams to ensure media assets and media channels are optimized

A bit about you:

• Demonstrable expertise in mass personalisation, use of first party data in media & related martech tools.
• Ideally coming from a "bricks and clicks" retailer background, with extensive omni-channel experience.
• Demonstrable expertise in key media channels, particularly across addressable media; solid knowledge of ATL, paid digital channels, organic channels & CRM.
• Demonstrable ability to develop effective integrated communication plans in line with customer journeys.
• Experience of media planning client side and experience of managing media agencies.
• Strong commercial acumen; demonstrable ability to drive performance and achieve commercial objectives.
• Analytical and data led mindset; keen & proficient user of martech tools including GA, Coremetrics and MTA solutions.
