This role will provide you the opportunity to work on brands with untapped potential and to create a new way of working for the business.Key Responsibilities:• Responsible for identifying emerging product trends, developing concepts, partnering with suppliers and taking this through to product brief and finished product delivery• Lead the end to end product development process on behalf of the global brand team for either Sleek (cosmetics) or Botanics (multi-category/skincare) – reports to the brand & product manager (who is the lead for the brand)• Ability to translate macro trends into product detail including packaging, formulation, fragrance & design elements and lead a cross functional team to support the delivery.• Manage agency partners, internal teams and suppliers and their work on our brands from brief to evaluation: specifically packaging, claims, fragrance houses and sourcing.• Responsible for understanding and championing what your brand stands for and how products can deliver on that by constantly reviewing, adding to and improving the product offering and portfolio to maximise value to the businessA bit about you:• UK and Global Product development experience (USA a big plus) in relevant beauty categories (skincare, cosmetics, bath & body). Passionate about both brand and product. Experience in working in close partnership with suppliers/OTS to deliver product at pace (perhaps from a start up or small independent brand). .• Keen understanding of commercial impact their work has on the business – cost conscious and ability to translate passion for product into sales results.• Passionate about understanding & meeting consumer needs through product and highly engaged/immersed in fashion, trends and culture. Strong affiliation to the target consumer for the brand and a genuine advocate for the portfolio.• Collaborative, team player able to work autonomously and without set process. Able to build strong working relationships across levels, geographies and functions with a broad cross functional team. Demonstrate confidence in dealing with senior stakeholders.• Strong presentation skills & independent thinking are a must – we want to shake things up, not churn out the expected!• Thrives in a fast paced environment and able to manage multiple projects at once.
