We’re recruiting for an Assistant Consumer Insight Manager on a contract basis until the end of April 2021.

The role is in the Global Consumer Planning and Insights team focussing on Skincare & Innovation, working with Global Brands such as No7, Liz Earle, Botanics and Your Good Skin ensuring consumer, market and performance insight is at the heart of business decision making.

You’ll need to be able to work collaboratively, communicate with clarity and think commercially to inspire brand team business partners to take action that will drive profitable growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Working collaboratively to support the Skincare & Innovation Consumer Planning & Insight team in:
• Capturing, understanding and communicating cultural, category & consumer insight: consumers behaviour, beliefs, attitudes and motivations to inspire growth Global Consumer Brands
• Using multiple sources of insight & data, selecting the right data or insight approach to match the business need you’ll help provide clear understanding of and direction for skincare category & brands
• Support the Global brand annual planning and brand building processes by applying the core concepts of Insight Synthesis, Communication & Judgement to support the setting of long & short term direction for brands
• Communicating the critical elements of consumer insight in a compelling and inspiring way, ensuring that insight is targeted at the right business partners and driving key actions & decisions. Ensuring key insights are well understood across the business & recommendations are delivered with integrity, objectivity and with the voice of the consumer at the forefront
• Working with rostered agencies and senior members of the team you’ll scope, design and lead research projects that shape business decisions according the cross category and brand priorities

A bit about you…

• Data & Insight Analysis and Integration: you’ll have evidence of being able to select, integrate and manipulate multiple sources of insight and data in order to generate insights and tell compelling stories.
• Partnering & Teamwork: Good interpersonal and emerging influencing skills, you’ll be able to show how you’ve built and maintained strong relationships with business partners and are able to challenge and support appropriately to optimise delivery. Team working & multi-functional collaboration: you’ll be able to demonstrate flexibility and work collaboratively with different functions and experts
• Able to see the bigger picture: you’ll have experience of placing a business issue in a wider context of the all available data and information
• The ideal candidate will have experience of managing market research projects: It is desirable to have experience of developing market research questionnaires and using survey building platforms
• You’ll be of degree calibre with 2 or more years of experience in client-side, agency and / or consultancy roles. You will ideally have experience of being a rounded insight professional, preferably working in a brand or retail driven environment. Experience of Beauty, Personal Care, Toiletries categories a strong advantage.

• You’ll be in brand, product or category management and can demonstrate experience of gathering and utilising multiple insight sources in order to develop brands and/or categories and you will be looking to apply existing skills/broaden your insights capability from within an insights team. Experience of Beauty, Personal Care, Toiletries categories a strong advantage.
