As part of Supplier Insights you will be part of a high performing team who are instrumental in supporting both our proprietary brands (suppliers) and categories grow their business through understanding customer behaviour. You’ll be delivering strategic analytical insights and solutions for our suppliers using a variety of sources, including data from our 17 million Boots Advantage Card holders, which combined with Boots.com and our Viewpoint customer research panel, provides us with unrivalled insight into Health & Beauty customers - generating significant revenue for Boots.You will gain regular exposure to key internal and supplier stakeholders, with the challenge and responsibility to be at the forefront of developing customer understanding through turning insight into action. A strong focus on development across the wider Global Insights team will provide opportunities and support for considerable personal growth and progression of analytical skills.Key Responsibilities:• Act as a key partner to our suppliers, as well as our internal Partnership Marketing and Commercial teams, supporting them to better understand who their customer is and what, when, where and how they are shopping within Boots• Deliver end-to-end customer focussed analysis solutions to key business issues and questions through bespoke analysis; scope and manage projects from responding to the brief, right through to impactful delivery of results and recommendations• Build a strong understanding of the Boots customer through analysing and interpreting data, and turning this knowledge into actionable insight• Clearly and concisely present insight and recommendations to internal colleagues and external stakeholders, acting as the voice of the customer; be confident in presenting the ‘What’ and developing the ‘So what’• Champion the use of insights to shape and steer data-driven commercial decisions; contribute to the development and implementation of Boots Partnership Marketing Plans, and Customer and Loyalty Strategies• Developing and delivering our reporting capability in each Partnership Marketing channel, providing customer-focussed insight and return on investment reporting• Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, ensuring a sound understanding of their reporting and insights needs• Have a proactive nature in striving to improve ways of working and creating efficiencies within the team, such as through standardising processes or automating code and manual tasks• Driving forward our key strategic work streams and contributing to a high performing analytics team.• With the support of our Senior Analysts, drive personal growth through the development of business know-how and analytical tools and techniquesYour experience:• Experience of analysing large and complex sets of data and exposure to a range of analytical tools and techniques• Experience of extracting and manipulating large data sets through SQL, R or similar query tools• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint with the ability to manipulate and visualise data• Ability to analyse data at a technical level whilst being able to confidently interpret and deliver findings to a non-technical or data-savvy audience• A strong desire to develop your knowledge in the use of customer insight in a retail and commercial environment• A passion for customer personalisation, strong problem solving skills and the ability to influence targeted customer activity using creative analysis• Excellent communication, organisational and project management skills; ability to handle multiple tasks through managing priorities and workload• Excellent attention to detail with a “Right First Time” approach in order to deliver best in class outputs• Knowledge of working with digital / ecommerce data is desirable
