A fantastic opportunity has become available to join the Boots Management Information (MI) Team as an MI Manager to own the delivery of timely, accurate MI for all Boots UK businesses, driving fast decision making through reporting analytics to continually improve business performance.

This role owns the design, development and delivery of all regular MI reports for Boots UK, helping to develop the understanding of MI in the business to ensure it is fit for purpose and is aligned with the relevant business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the development and delivery of a rolling programme of MI solutions that support business decisions
  • Drive a culture where information proactively contributes to the development of business strategies through ad hoc and regular reporting, based on information from internal (on-prem or cloud) databases
  • Promote and champion new and innovative techniques that promotes a best-in-class MI function
  • Liaise with other data consuming functions across the wider WBA group to ensure information and its impacts are aligned so that Boots gains the maximum possible from its data teams
  • Lead the MI Delivery Team on a day-to-day basis, leading the team’s development and performance

A bit about you…

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in leading technical teams
  • A broad technical skill set with previous hands-on expertise in MI applying best practice, self-service and automation strategies
  • Extensive experience building and maintaining reliable and scalable MI reporting and dashboards, as well as experience working with varied forms of systems/tools such as SAPBW, Business Objects, Azure, PowerBI or similar
  • Working knowledge of Data Warehousing, including dimensional modelling concepts.
  • Good communicator who can work collaboratively with the business and technical colleagues to deliver quality MI
