This new and important role is an opportunity to be our expert colleague, partnering with leaders, colleagues’ representatives/fora, HR Business Partners, CoEs and Comms teams to build a deep understanding of the drivers of colleague engagement across the business and developing an engagement strategy.

This a key role in supporting the development and execution of our overarching engagement strategy, translating it into the right behaviours and activities that will ensure Boots UK is a ‘Great Place to Work’ for every colleague, delivering and enhancing a great employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Play a key role in the development of a vision and strategy for colleague engagement, translating this strategy into meaningful actions and clear plans which will enhance employee experience and drive business performance.
• Working across the HR function and in partnership with the wider HR team to identify and take action on opportunities to improve colleague experience.
• Coordinate a broad range of activities that will enhance colleague experience and drive engagement across the business in our stores, support offices and operations - ensuring alignment to broader business strategies.
• Manage colleague engagement surveys and leverage other colleague data sources such as exit interviews, on-boarding surveys, pulse and always on surveys. Use these findings to support the business to develop impactful engagement actions, working with our leaders so that they can own their local engagement plans.
• Identify activities that drive engagement, collaborate with colleagues to join them up so they can be more impactful and pull into a plan which will further enhance colleague experience.

• You can demonstrate experience working in partnership with a broad group of stakeholders to develop a colleague engagement strategy, bringing your expertise in colleague engagement to support Boots UK in being a great place to work.
• You can demonstrate the ability to translate a strategy into a clear plan, using your strong project planning skills you can apply an appropriate project/programme management approach to execute the plan.
• You’ll be confident analysing and presenting qualitative and quantitative data, drawing out key themes and presenting those in a clear and concise way for senior stakeholders.
• You know how to develop plans in collaboration, as well as execute those in partnership or through others.
• Confident working with and support leaders across the business to take meaningful action on their local engagement action plans to improve the experience of colleagues.
• As a skilled and inclusive facilitator, you’ll bring empathy, and strong listening and communication skills that you’ll utilise in your work with colleague forums.
